Cancellation Policy

Cancellation and Refund Policy

A cancellation fee will be issued to any client (signer or company) that cancels or reschedules within three hours of the confirmed appointment time. A cancellation may also occur if the client is unable to verify the required ID, documents are not sent in a timely manner, signer is a no-show to the appointment, etc. Cancellation fees vary based on the amount of notarizations. The fee ensures that the Notary will be paid for their reserved time. 

Additional Information

At Joel-Lean’s Signature, we understand that sometimes plans change and you may need to cancel your appointment with us. Please review the following cancelation policy to understand your rights and responsibilities.

  1. To cancel your appointment, please contact us at least 3 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment time.
  2. If you do not provide at least 3 hours notice of cancelation, you will forfeit your deposit or  may be charged a cancelation fee of $75.
  3. If you need to reschedule your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible via email (Joellean@Josignature.com) or text/ call (571) 201-7550 to discuss availability.
  4. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment without providing notice of cancelation, you may forfeit your deposit or  be charged a no-show fee of $75.
  5. We reserve the right to refuse to provide our services to any individual who repeatedly cancels or reschedules their appointments without providing adequate notice.
  6. If a closing doesn’t go according to plan, where one party cancels their closing after their documents have been notarized, the full price of the agreed closing cost stands and shall be paid for by party.

Refunds

Refund Eligibility:
 

All notary services, once provided, may not be eligible for a refund due to the nature of the service. These services include but are not limited to completed notarizations or notary acts that have been executed and finalized. Refunds will only be considered for payments made in advance for notary services that have not yet been rendered.

Refundable Circumstances:

  1.  Appointment Cancellation: If you provide a minimum of 24 hours notice for appointment cancellation, any payment made in advance, excluding the non-refundable deposit, will be eligible for a refund.
  2.  Service Unavailability: If we are unable to fulfill the notary service due to unforeseen circumstances or an issue on our end, a full refund, including the non-refundable deposit, will be provided.
